Transcript:

"Growing up here was different, you were growing up on a farm, you know, so farm life is definitely different, you know, cause you started day break or sometimes before day in the winter time because the animals have to be fed, you know, the crops have to be tended, you had-- there was always work to do on the farm. Even in the winter or summer, and so, you kinda got used to that idea, and you kinda grew up with it, and-and it also gave you a different work ethic because you knew then what it took to survive, and that's really what it was all about, survival. At that time you didn't know that. You thought that was normal, you thought that's what everybody did because everybody in the community pretty much was doing the same thing. They had the small farms, they had the animals, and, you know, we use those as-as food, you know, and that's how you, you know, you got your food on the table 'cause you didn't have a lot of money to go out and buy stuff."
